Local rules
This is one of Oregon's most beautiful and popular lakes. This lake is approximately four miles long and a mile wide, cradled by the Wallowa Mountains and glacial moraines. Fed by the Wallowa River on its south end, Wallowa Lake is cold and reaches depths of more than 300 feet. The lake contains populations of kokanee and mackinaw. In recent years it has produced world record kokanee. Wallowa Lake State Park is located on the south end of the lake and has amenities including tent and RV camping, picnic areas, swimming area, boat ramp and marina.
