Overview
The wobbling spoon is one of the simplest and most effective lures for river trout, perch and pike. It casts a long way, covers the whole water column and is fished simply by winding the reel.
This box brings together spoons from 1.5 g to 12 g (0.05–0.42 oz). 25-piece version: 4 × 1.5 g, 2 × 2.5 g, 2 × 4 g, 9 × 5 g, 2 × 6 g, 4 × 8 g, 2 × 12 g. 15-piece version: 1.5 to 8 g. 35-piece version: 6 × 1.5 g, 4 × 2.5 g, 4 × 4 g, 11 × 5 g, 4 × 6 g, 4 × 8 g, 2 × 12 g. The lightest go on light rods and small streams; the 8–12 g spoons suit big waters and predators.
Limitations: the supplier warns that the colours supplied may change with stock, and does not state the hook type fitted or the metal composition. Some trout rivers require single or barbless hooks: adapt the rig or flatten the barb with flat-nose pliers.
