- Minors below nine years of age may fish without a license when accompanied by a licensee (their catch counts in the adult's bag). Minors 9-15: $3. Seniors 65+: license free of charge. The license is required only to take introduced freshwater game fish.

License only for introduced freshwater game fish. Bass seasons open; 9-inch minimum and 10 combined black bass; peacock bass (tucunare) 12 in / 3 per day. Rainbow trout only at Kōkeʻe PFA (Kauaʻi) during a short summer season. No walleye or pike in Hawaii.
