Other species listed: brown bullhead. This is a 3,000-acre reservoir located approximately 17 miles southeast of Prineville. This reservoir was created for irrigation and flood control by damming the Crooked River behind Arthur R. Bowman Dam. It is situated at an elevation of 3,200 ft. and reaches depths of up to 120 ft. The reservoir is open to motorized boats and supports a diverse population of fish, including rainbow trout, black crappie and smallmouth and largemouth bass. The reservoir is stocked annually with sublegal rainbow trout. A boat ramp, boot moorage, picnic areas are available at Prineville Reservoir State Park. Lod
