Overview
A light alternative to a headlamp: this small lamp clips onto the peak of a cap and lights up what is in front of you with no strap around your head. Handy for night fishing for carp, catfish or eel, when you keep your cap on from morning to night.
It measures 5 × 6.2 × 2.1 cm (2 × 2.4 × 0.8 in) and is made of ABS. A sensor lets you switch it on with a wave of the hand, useful when your hands are wet or full of bait. This “high brightness” version has a 1,000 mAh polymer battery, charged with the USB cable included. Black or orange.
Tip: tilt the lamp downwards to light your hands rather than the water, and charge it before every session.
Limitations: the supplier gives no lumen rating, run time, water resistance or light colour. About 75 g (2.6 oz) packed. For long walks in the dark, a headband lamp with a wider beam is a better choice.
