Overview
A bank rod rest holds your rod while you fish static baits, tie a rig or land a fish on your second rod. This all-aluminium model (claimed corrosion-resistant) is 25.6 cm (10 in) long.
Its triangular spike goes into the ground easily and, according to the manufacturer, does not twist once planted; its round foot plate lets you push it in with your foot instead of forcing it by hand. The tube takes the rod handle.
The pack contains two rests, one per rod. They suit static fishing for carp, bream and catfish on soft banks, and the supplier also presents them for beach fishing.
Limitations: they cannot be used on hard ground, rocks or a jetty (a tripod is better there). Neither the inner diameter nor the weight is given: very thick handles may not fit.
