A compact, all-round combo to keep in the car or take travelling: the rod closes down to 44 cm. For spinning for perch, chub, lake trout or pike with mid-size lures, or as a first rod.
According to the supplier's chart, the carbon rod measures 2.48 m (8 ft 2 in) extended, in 8 sections, with a 19 mm butt and a 1.9 mm tip. The supplier lists it as a sea rod; it works just as well in fresh water.
The size 3000 fixed-spool reel has a metal head; the maker claims 12 + 1 bearings. Packed weight of the combo: about 640 g.
Limitations: neither power nor casting weight is published. No line is included. An 8-section telescopic rod is less precise than a two-piece rod, but it goes anywhere.

Is the reel already fitted?
It comes with the rod and clips into the reel seat in a few seconds.
Can I fish for pike with it?
Yes with mid-size lures, a braid and a steel or titanium leader. As the casting weight is not published, avoid large heavy lures.
Which line should I buy?
A 0.12–0.18 mm braid or 0.22–0.28 mm mono depending on the target fish.
