Overview
The floating stickbait is the classic surface lure: a pencil-shaped body with no lip or propeller that you make zigzag with the rod. This “walking the dog” action imitates an injured fish and triggers explosive strikes from black bass, pike, perch and chub, especially at dawn, at dusk and in calm weather.
Each lure measures 10 cm (3.9 in) and weighs 18 g (0.63 oz), a weight that helps with the long casts claimed by the manufacturer. The pack brings together three different colours, made of plastic. Technique: rod held low, short regular twitches of the rod tip, taking up slack between each one; the lure darts left, then right. Wait until you feel the weight of the fish before striking.
